ArOmis’ cinnamon leaf essential oil is steam distilled from the leaves of the cinnamon tree (Cinnamomum verum). The plant is native to Sri Lanka and most of this type of cinnamon is produced in the region today. Most of us will recognize cinnamon as the warm, sweet spice often used to flavor desserts.  Historically cinnamon was likely one of the first spices used in trading. There are records of it being used from biblical times, and it used to be as valuable as gold. Because of its high value, it was given as a gift to monarchs. It was also used by Egyptians in embalming.

Medicinally cinnamon has been used for colds and coughs for centuries. The oil may still be used today as an antifungal, antiviral, antibacterial, antiseptic, astringent, aphrodisiac, germicide, and digestive aid.

Aromatically the soothing, earthy scent of cinnamon is both stimulating and comforting.

Uses & Benefits

  • Use in a DIY deodorant or fragrance.
  • As an anthelmintic, cinnamon may be useful in clearing parasites including scabies and lice.
  • Blend with orange, clove, nutmeg in a diffuser for a scent reminiscent of fall and winter holidays.
  • Cinnamon oil can be used to treat inflammation.
  • Use cinnamon as part of a homemade balm or foot soak to clear toenail and foot fungus, as well as deodorize feet.
  • Add some cinnamon to a diffuser to create a warm and energizing atmosphere in the yoga studio.
  • Dilute a few drops of cinnamon into your coconut oil massage oil to improve circulation and mood.

ArOmis cinnamon essential oil is potent and may cause a rash. Do not ingest this oil. Always dilute it into a natural carrier oil such as jojoba, almond, or coconut oil before topical use.

ArOmis cinnamon leaf essential oil is certified organic in South Africa and imported by our partners there. We are committed to partnering with sustainable and fair trade agriculture and local farmers as much as possible.

This awesome stuff! I love it! It's very potent & smells a little like cloves. When it comes to shipping, they don't mess around. I got my item the next day & it came from out of state! I'll be ordering from this company again!

I am very pleased with the oils I recieved from Aromis. I was surprised that i could tell a difference in the quality of these oils versus other oils I had bought at a local store. These are much better than the other oils.

This item was as described. I put in in my lotion hoping the smell would help in preventing mosquito bites. Not sure that worked though.
