Our organic cedarwood essential oil is steam distilled from the bark of the blue cedar tree (Cedrus atlantica). This type of cedar tree is native to the Atlas mountain region but cultivated widely for use in gardens. Cedarwood oil has been used spiritually for centuries and is incredibly calming. It’s known to be an effective antifungal, antiseptic, diuretic, insecticide, and anti-inflammatory. Aromatically, cedarwood oil is rich, sweet, and woody.

Cedarwood is excellent for purifying the air, cleansing skin, and hair, and deodorizing. Use cedarwood oil on its own or as a blend to create your sprays, tonics, and oils.

Uses & Benefits

  • Create your insect repellant by blending a few drops each of cedarwood and lemon eucalyptus oil in a small glass spray bottle.
  • For dandruff or other scalp problems, mix a few drops of cedarwood with apple cider vinegar, witch hazel, or olive oil and massage into the scalp.
  • Cedarwood oil may combat hair loss and soothe symptoms of eczema.
  • Inhale cedarwood on its own or in a blend to improve focus while working or studying.
  • Blend cedarwood and lavender oil in a diffuser to promote sleep and detoxify the air.

Cedarwood oil is considered non-toxic, but we want to ensure that basic precautions are taken: never ingest essential oils, always dilute them, and use caution if pregnant or nursing. ArOmis’ organic cedarwood essential oil is certified organic in South Africa. We do our best to support sustainable farming in the spirit of fair trade and environmental stewardship.

By using African oils grown in tropical and subtropical regions, we encourage local farmers to use less land more wisely and to preserve the indigenous forests.  Use ArOmis’ organic essential oils every day as a non-toxic, effective addition to your wellness and home cleaning routines.

Used in the solution when when I clean my wood and vinyl floors. House smells like fresh cut lumber.

I’ve never had any experience with essential oils and this is a very pleasant surprise. Works great in my humidifier, subtle but noticeable scent without being cloying. I will be ordering again!

I am still somewhat new to the essential oil world, but I read that Cedarwood has a lot of good effects. I put some on today after my run and shower and it does smell really good.

Super product! Our Yorkie used to require allergy pills in the summer months, due to constant skin itching/irritation. We now use Cedarwood with coconut oil on her and she has not experienced a a problem with allergies since!

Cedarwood oil is perfect for dabbing a speck on a cloth and dropping into the bottom of your chest of drawers. You may do the same but slide the drop under your car seat.
